On Septemeber 8th, 2006, James
Picard helps to create Passion Series for Dalai Lama
His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama
will attend the Orpheum Theatre to discuss issues surrounding compassion
with youth.
Internationally acclaimed
Vancouver artist James Picard who has won awards for both his teaching
and art worldwide, and who was honoured by former New York City Mayor
Guliani for his work with children in Harlem New York, will be working
with children to help create the compassion art series. This series is
to be collaborative and reflective inspirational art exhibit and is to
be a part of our pre-show event. This art would be projected onto
screens at the Orpheum Theatre. The event will be webcast live and then
will be housed on the Dalai Lama Center web site. Some of the art will
also be included in the reflection journal that all of the participants
will receive.
